I am trying to demonstrate a solar demo to run 1hp AC motor from solar energy, I will be using Trina Solar 410W solar panels with Voc- 49.4(V) , thinking of connecting 6 panels in series.
The AC Motor name-plate ratings: (Picture attached)
1 HP 3Phase AC Motor
Volts- 208-230/460 Volts
Amps- 3.38-3.12/1.56 Amps
60 Hz , Industrial Motor

The solar pump inverter/VFD has the following ratings- (Picture attached)
Capacity- 1.5kW
DC input voltage range- 300~350VDC
AC Voltage(Three Phase)-220V

Can I just connect the 6 Trina Solar panels in series connection and give the input directly to the solar pump inverter and run this motor ?

No you will need some thing that would stop the The pump from starting with out enough power from the son .
They make a gadget that works but I don’t know the name .
After looking at my options I went with a grundfus solar pump .

It looks like he has a solar pump inverter, it should have specs to prevent starvation of current.

If you look to the bottom of the page in similar threads
