Here’s what I have-
14 panels on roof - 4.6k watts connected to SMA sunny boy.
&
4 panels in back yard - 1.2k watts wired to mppt controller
&
roughly 12 kWh of lifepo4 & a Cotek 2.5kw psw inverter

The sma will give me 2,000 watts of power during an outage. I want to be able to charge my batteries in a power outage. Should I just sell the inverter I have and buy a off grid hybrid inverter / charger? If I buy an off grid inverter / charger, is there a way to switch the panels on the roof over to the off grid inverter? The panels are in two strings.

I am trying to understand everything.

"I want to be able to charge my batteries in a power outage" - Generator, MPPT charger, AIO charger, etc, which one?

Does the SMA have a battery bank already or is it batteryless?

The mppt controller you refer to on the 4 panels, does that connect to some existing battery bank, or your lifepo4 bank?

Maybe a diagram would help...

Just trying to wrap head around the ask before we maybe could formulate a decent recommendation :geek:
