Help with Understanding BMS amps

I used Headways on some e bike projects and got one bike up to 30 miles an hour. They had an 8C discharge rate. My zero to sixty feet times were not as good as the VW conversion but I also felt a lot safer with some sheet metal around me even though it was only a VW.

c of 2.5 is 250 amps continuous.

That was just something i read on a forum. I dont know if they have it on their website.
Id like to build my own for my car.
