Is it possible to hook up communication between SRNE HF4835U80-145 All-in-One Controller/Inverter/Charger & my three Aolithium 51.2V 100Ah Server Rack LifePO4 batteries
I have the same inverter, but a 5KW version, and an old one. The old ones CANNOT do closed loop communication, and no firmware upgrade will change that.
But, if you have a newer one, check your firmware; version 6.53 or higher is required for BMS communication. If your inverter has the newer firmware it should communicate with AOlithium batteries.
Use a standard ethernet cable (RJ45) with pins 1 and 2 cut/disconnected. This modification is required for the SRNE inverter.
Plug one end of this modifies cable into the RS485-2 port of the inverter, and other end into the CAN/RS485A port of battery #1.
Using regular ethernet cables (no need to modify these ones), daisy-chain the 3 batteries together using the RS485B ports on each battery.
Set battery #1 DIP switch to 000001 (ie: 1 thru 5 off, and #6 on)
Set battery #2 DIP switch to 100000
Set battery #3 DIP switch to 010000
In the inverter, you'll have to find the settings to enable RS485 communication, and another setting to select WOW protocol. They are probably setting numbers 32 and 33.
That should do it.
