I'm building my first DIY 48v LifePO4 200ah battery for a golf cart conversion project and had an idea to be able to add/remove this battery to my KiloVault 150ah battery used for my offgrid home during times when the golf cart is not in use or for extra power on cold/hot days to run heaters/AC. My thought was to use 2 charge controllers and be able to isolate each of them to an individual battery bank until both banks are fully changed then combine them. Anyone have some ideas on how best accomplish this without having to power down the entire system each time adding/removing the battery bank?

Currently using 2x Schneider Conxext MPPT 50/150 charge controllers connected to 3000w & 1300w arrays.

Would I need to separate both positive/negative bus bars for each bank/CC in order to individually change? I could then add a DC breaker between the bus bars in order to combine when both are at similar state of charge?

Is there a buy vs build way to do this?

Is this even a good idea? lol :)

Thanks
