I have 4 235w panels, in series, I could use to charge the ac200. Voc 36.9v x 4 =147.6V
Which is under 150 max input

The panels are used about 7 years old

Will this configuration work?
Would it be advisable to do 2 SE and 2 SW or all 4 south

Would I have to consider the temperature coefficient of voltage at -0.125V/K
Any other things to consider if I do run the 4 panels in series ?

Solar panels increase their voltage in low temps. It doesn't take much to get them to exceed 150V. Based on your temp coefficient, you're over 150V any time the temperature is below 18°C

If you took 4 panels in series and faced them 2 SE and 2 SW, they would all perform poorly. When in series, the lowest current panels restrict all panels in series to the lowest current.

I recommend a 2S2P config with all 4 panels positioned for optimal year round harvest. Alternatively, 2S SE and 2S SW with the SE and SW groups in parallel with each other.

Thx for the reply

If I have a 2s2p config I will be over the max 12A allowed by the AC200.
My panels imp is 7.9A (isc 8.46A)

I should have put the full specs of my panels in the OP
