how do i setup EG4 6000xp

Hi all Just need some help in setting up my eg4 6000xp WiFi dongle been trying for 2 days now and keep failing i try login into dongle using 10.10.10.1 but it keep timing out i also try searching for the eg4 software app but unsuccessful this forum is my last hope

i have managed to connect to the dongle with my phone but i am not able to register keep telling me the wrong pin number for the dongle the serial accepted but the pin wrong so i am not able to go any further some help would be apriceaited

On a similar note, on my Growatt I didn't use a dongle, I just plugged in a USB cable and loaded the serial drivers. The Windows application let me set everything.

Is that possible with the 6000xp? Where I'm going to be installing it there is no cell or wifi and I absolutely HATE having to install an app and create an account and all the hassle that inevitably entails for a system that's 120% off grid. No, I'm not willing to comission it at home then pack it to camp and no, I don't want communications and remote monitoring and all that stuff.

Is that doable with the 6000xp?

You might try a different router too my first go around with my 18KPV it would not connect to my router so I tried it on another one and it connected right away just a thought. The dongles are the same for the 18 kpv and the 6000 xp.

PIN does not match. why does it keep saying that when its the correct pin number that's on the dongle.its frustrating

If you have a different router try to connect to it I think I was having the same issue that you were I just can't remember.

1 possible issue to watch out for, your wifi router cannot have special characters in SSID or password

at least this is what @tgbatb had issues with
