How loud are inverter cooling fans?

This Ecoworthy is on the way.
Placing it in my home office would:
1. Keep it cool in Las Vegas heat (even in a finished garage).
2. Greatly reduce wire runs to the panel groups.

So, anyway; how loud are the cooling fans in this (and similar) inverters?

I have a Ecoflow Delta Pro and its fans are obnoxious when charging at 1kW.

You could hear the old growatt fans from outside the shed. Sounded like a weekwacker running inside the shed.

If that ecoworthy is an srne rebadge, @42OhmsPA may know a thing or two. If it's a voltronic rebadge, bet it's loud. If it is loud, would adding an acoustic panel some distance in front of it help? Better than running a bunch of $wire and conduit.

Looks like an SRNE HYP.
I'm pretty sure the fans are the same as the ASP but there are 2 instead of 4.
I was running a Voltronic based before going to SRNE... Both have fans that get "loud" but the SRNE fans are much easier to tolerate. I don't have any meter readings, the best analogy I can give is the the pitch of Voltronic was like a hairdryer on crack, the SRNE are closer to a box fan on high. Mine are in the basement/ shop.
I could here the Voltronic upstairs when it was cranking, I can here the SRNE but they are quieter and I'm running 2 in parallel (8 fans total).

Is the fan noise proportional to load/incoming PV? Do they idle down with light overnight load for example?

Both my inverters the eco-worthy 3000w aio and the eg4 6000xp are noisy as hell when fans are spinning. I was going to replace the eco-worthy server rated 80mms with some noctua's but changed my mind cause they wouldn't move the same airflow. If you like peace and quiet put them somewhere away from your living area. Trust me you will not want it in your office.

Muffin fans are inherently noisy. My Growatt 12k can be heard running outside the garage if it’s under a 15% or more load. I have used a PWM fan speed controller that has a temperature sensor with pretty good results on the SolarEdge grid tie inverter but haven’t messed with the Growatt yet. It’s in the garage so a low priority task.

I can't hear my EG4 6000XP down in the basement with the basement door closed and the TV set on. Open the basement door or turn off the TV and I can hear it, especially during high solar charging.

Yea mines in the electrical closet in the same basement where I watch tv. When the stereo system is on and I'm watching tv I can't hear it. I've also added some insulation to dampen the noise but its not very effective at higher pitch whine. Without background noise though anything above 1000w and its annoying.

Yes. They are normally very quiet and don't run all the time. They only really start cranking when lots of power is flowing.
I don't really notice them when the coal stove blowers are going in the winter or when the dehumidifier is running in the summer.

Looks to be a SRNE unit. These are quieter than the LV6548's in my house but still have some noise. With high PV input or high load the fans will ramp up and be noticeable.

I wouldn't put in a small office space.

Growatt SPF 5000 ES and similar model fans are EXTREMELY loud.

Like obnoxiously ridiculously loud.

Complete overkill in conjunction with overly aggressive fan profiles.

I replaced mine with some noctuas.

The silence is bliss.

Lol they all have loud fans.

Extremely loud.

You must be deaf or have never used quiet fans.
I don't consider mine loud. And they are 20' from where I sit.
If I did, I would close the power room door. (It pretty much stays open)
Definitely not deaf, as I hear things that most people around me don't.
I have heard many obnoxious screaming fans (like the Chargeverter), these are barely background noise.
I'm not saying that they are silent. You can tell when they are running, if you are listening for it. But they aren't the high pitch screamers that some have.

They are definitely loud.

Really loud. 70 db loud lol.

They aren't high pitched but at 70db the pitch is irrelevant lol.

They're monstrously loud lol.

I guess I'm used to silent fans, much nicer.

You should try some.

My EG4 6000XP and 6500EX both sound like vacuum cleaners when PV is near maximum or when inverter output is over half of maximum. In other words, they are loud.

Everything is relative.
I don't consider anything loud, unless I have to raise my voice to have a conversation.
Whereas someone else may consider anything above complete silence as loud.

Yeah, that would be annoying.

I have a sound meter, but I've never used it with my 18kpv's. I've been in the room when they kicked up, it was relatively loud, but in the room with the door closed, you'd not notice unless you were listening for them. OTOH, the Antminer wide open, you should probably wear ear plugs. You can hear it thru the door, and thru the next door if you are half paying attention. I'd want the inverter on the other side of a wall/door, but it's not that loud that it's annoying to be in the room with it.
