how many wires from 2 strings to inverter?

I would like to have two strings but don't want two separate sets of wires going to the mppts (in my EG4 6000xp inverter) because the wire distance is far, about 120 feet. I would prefer two strings so that the morning shade does not inhibit the entire array and same with afternoon shade. Is there anyway around this? I am setting my panels linearly (one row, each one next to the other with no second row rather than rather than in rectangles) due to aesthetics; tring to hid them from more as many views as possible so there is a great distance from the east end of the array to the west end. (about 40 feet) Don't know if that's relevant, anyway the question is, unless I run a whole second set of wires am I limtited to one string? The obvious reason seems to be yes, but just double checking cuz its a big expense if I buy another set of wires.

You can connect your 2 strings in parallel with standard MC4 Y connectors out by your array. Then run just 2 wires to you SCC.

What are the specs of your panels (Voc and watts in particular) and max input voltage of your SCC?

I was worried about 25ft. Will 120ft cost you some performance?

Could you use a larger wire? Usual solution for things but not sure about PV.

I was looking at getting a cheap(er) MPPT to add to the charging from a different array.

So main array would be for mid day sun then we have a good place for panel in late afternoon, thought I'd point some panels that way and give it a try. I couldn't really use more panels at noon but could use some late afternoon.
