i have zero solar/backup experience . i'm %99 decided on the victron multipluss ii 48/5000 for my inverter . i'm really liking the vatrer batteries for 900 a pop shipped . they have a display and BT but no communication ports . for a solar virgin is communication a big help or should i be just fine without it . seems like the experienced folks here and on youtube don't care about it or don't want it . sooooo should i be fine with the vatrers or would i be better served with something with communication ? i want to get my batteries/inverter in the next few weeks . i plan to get the victron mppt rs 450/100 and 5000ish watts of panels in a year . i want 4 batteries . it will be used as back up for that year . we used 607 kw of power last month so abour 20kw a day . does 4 batteries seem like enough for that . we're on a ridge line in the appalachian mountians of Virginia with plenty of sun .
thanks , jeff

Voltage controled charging works well and is trouble free with LFP batteries. It is not necessary to have closed loop communications. You may want to add a Victron shunt to the system to get accurate SoC data.

As long as the battery has Bluetooth or WiFi or a display so you have access to individual cell voltages and battery health info for troubleshooting that's all you need.

thanks for the replies :)
just to be clear for my dumb butt .....
