How is it possible to change the voltage of a battery from 48 volts to 24 volts? I know both batteries contain the same number of cells. What are the things to change? Cable size? BMS? Also what are the configurations to change in order to effectively change my 48volts 200Ah battery to 24v 200Ah for my new system?

I assume this is one 16S battery you’re making into 2 X 8S batteries. Also, each of these two 8S batteries will be 200 AH, but each battery will have 1/2 watt hours of the original system. You’d need a BMS for each battery.
Cable size and BMS size will depend on loads. What is your loads in watts or amps you will run on this system.
