Hybrid inverter with Microinverters

Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory is an OSHA thing. UL is recognized by NRTL. UL does not allow self certification. NRTL does allow self certification.

Doesn't matter what you or I think. Many local building codes have written in UL certfication requirement as well as applying NEC standards.

Bottomline, make sure your local codes/inspectors will approve any PV-grid tied equipment before you spend money buying it.

Totally agree that, at the end of the day, the final decision will come from the local inspectors so better run it by them first. Appreciate your feedback.

For future reference, that is truly an SGS certification by SGS NA that the hybrid inverters comply with UL 1741 (2010 Ed.2 Rev Feb. 15, 2018). And we confirmed via email from SGS directly that it is valid. You can also see it in their directory as well:
