I can't complete my purchase from Alibaba.

I'm trying to buy some cells from luyuan. Amy has my order setup. When I go to pay, I enter in all my info and hit complete purchase.
I get a message that says failed bank verification. I'm using a Bank of America credit card. I called them a couple times and they don't see any purchase attempts to Alibaba. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and knows what to do. Thanks

Some card companies and banks won't allow transactions from china. But seeing as you called them I would think they would be aware of that if they had a policy against it. Who knows though.

I have had different cards that flat wouldn't work with certain countries when purchasing stuff.

Try another card, I have a few as a result of some payments not being allowed on some cards.

That is standard practice these days as fraud prevention. What usually happens is the transaction will fail, you will get a text from the card issuer asking if it is a valid transaction, and if you reply yes, you have the vendor try again it would go through.

I found back a few months ago most cards from major banks blocked overseas transactions from countries with fraud problems.. and they have no why to allow them … it sucks … but life as we know it ..

I had an almost identical experience trying to purchase a Seplos battery setup from Libby at Docan. None of the payment methods I tried worked, not even direct bank wire via SWIFT code (the bank claimed the SWIFT number did not exist; Docan claimed the bank just did not want to transfer to China, so gave that as the error message for their system). Suffice to say, ultimately I did not make the purchase. I ended up getting what may be a better setup from a local supplier at nearly half the price. So for me the failed transaction became a blessing in disguise.

Similar experience here. Had to jump through more hoops than a circus show dog to get the bank to allow me to send $ to China.

I was able to use a credit card through PayPal when a credit card itself wouldn't work.
Didn't work in my case. It took multiple calls from my bank to the CC and a 24 wait till the transaction could finally go through. I understand them wanting to protect themselves and my account, but it was a real pita.
