I just picked up a house in puerto rico. I've got a ton of space on the roof for solar panels. It's pretty common to deal with power outtages here. I'm thinking I will start with a backup generator, but I would like to get a bunch of solar hooked up and eventually a decent battery bank. main power requirements would be a fridge, some low draw led lights, possible an ac system, and a fish tank down the road. If I run a lot of panels, but a smaller battery bank, can I back feed into the grid?
The biggest thing would just be a fridge and some power for a pc or tv and a fan.The ac is not that important, but if I can generate enough during the day to run a minispit or 2, that would be nice.
