I have watched battery prices steadily fall since Spring as I built my bank. The last battery purchased will arrive today or tomorrow. It cost over $100 less than it's predecessors bought in March of this year.
Now we have a new dynamic to consider.

Let the tariff wars begin! Yikes!
Really low prices have been nice while they lasted. What do you think?

The dollar has strengthened on the news of a Trump victory, which makes US exports more expensive & imports cheaper, so its a good time to buy. Wall St. opens in one and a half hours, so we will see what the real power thinks. As for the tariffs, there are a few factors to bear in mind. One, a week is a long time in politics & a lot of water will flow under the bridge between now & Jan 6th.Secondly a pliticians promise is about as worthless as a Ali Express Guarantee. The 60% tarrif would mean a lot of pain for US citizens.
Firms mostly pass import costs onto the customer, so tariffs are likely to be inflationary for U.S. buyers, forcing the Fed to keep interest rates high for longer or to even reverse course and hike borrowing costs once again.
This will be even more likely if Trump keeps his spending and tax pledges, which could increase the U.S. debt by $7.75 trillion through 2035, according to the non-partisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
"Most damage would be done under a universal import tariff," ABN Amro's Rogier Quaedvlieg said. "If the ultimate implementation is non-universal, the hit to the global economy would be significantly weaker.

"The full Trump package, including a universal package, would likely hit the global economy hard."
Quote from Reuters.
The only pledge Trump is likely to keep is tax cuts but the majority will go to the wealthy. Trump only cares about Trump & now he is home and dry, away from legal jeopardy for at leat the next 4 years, if he lives that long.

I find it interesting that someone from out of the country looking in using left news sources knows so much? " If he lives that long" That is a very dark comment and truly tells a story.......

left news sources knows so much
What Reuters a left news source? A lot of people who work in UK finance would beg to differ.

Only if you extrapolate wildly. He is a 78 & has the appearance of being one cheeseburger away from a heart attack. Besides given the poor planning, weapons choice & marksmanship of recent attempts an assassination seems unlikely.

And here is the issue. Ill informed people. ( shows clearly the manipulations from the left controlled media. )

I have to wonder if you could put up the total bullshit Trump has, let alone the hundreds of rallies he has done in this short of time. The truth is no one gets out alive. Remember Trump has put up with constant harassment from the left sense 2016. I think you should take a lesson from his resilience..............

Gee, you mean those "guarantees" are not any good? Yikes! O me O my!

It's true, guberment wheels turn slowly, but I kind of get the feeling we will see things move more quickly than we have become accustomed to. At least in some respects...

I just read the tariffs on Solar Panels from China had an exemption for bi-facial PVs . and that changes with last May update to Tariffs schedule? or at some future date. Wondering when the May 2024 announced Tariffs go into effect. I specifically would like to know when newer tariffs go in effect (or when the did), and what % increase will we see; for solar panels, LiFePO4 batteries, and All In One's I might be considering. Anyone have specifics for my mid Nov 2024 considerations?

I just purchased twelve 395 Watt Hyperion Bi-facial PVs for $0.30/ watt. My mind is just registering how that past tariffs exemption was part of that low price find picture. I am now considering buying more Hyperion 0.30 cents / watt PVs from my nearby warehouse that has em in stock, for my future projects , or my friend's projects. I am also considering an additional LiFePO4 order if tariffs are gona make the price jump higher next year (? when?) ... Wondering if there is an informative USA Tariffs Schedule on this forum? If so, please give us a title link to find. I am researching to Find Out More, and my recent to forum search got me here.

If you watched the subsidies notice they were moved to domestic for ev with battery manufacturing requirements.

At the same time if you noticed the manufacturers in compliance than simply raised the price of their offered ev to capture those monies offered by the govt subsidies.

Add tariff.... Consumer screwed and screwed.

I strongly recommend buy now. Or wait and see how it works. probably bad idea to wait. With inflation going up and up hmmm best buy now.

I got mine. Might build one more diy battery but need take my own advice and buy now.

Or wait and see it we develop something new for these shores. A new type of battery. By time we develop something the chinese or some of economic slave can build it at cheaper price.

Is buying a so called USA MADE Midnite Solar Rosie Inverter at $4500+ or so better then buying a china SRNE 10k asp inverter at ~$1200? I bought the SRNE. If the SRNE goes to ~$2400 will still buy it. I have no loyalty for spending my money with major corporations that will toss a USA worker away like a used condom at the opportunity to make profit over seas. Especially when the CEO profits the most. If CEO were forced go to prison with skin at stake would manage companies better especially if got tax breaks from USA govt and other sweet heart deals. CEO HAVE HISTORY OF Ruining big companies then Popping their Golden parachutes. It was once very common practice.

USA Companies use to be innovative and ppl were considered the heart and soul of them and the quality of the product reflected that. Pride..on both sides. DEI, Affirmative actions, eeo, and so on ruined a lot of things. Companies became smaller.....disappeared woke.

What ev battery companies need to do it start making hv systems for the solar market too. Multi-purpose manufacturing. Most ev have Inverter too. Make them bi-direction for components from ev to run power needs of homes. With the way Americans want massive power consumtion then a big ev battery and inverter type setup could resolve. Put the future USA battery factories online for more then just ev. While we are at it Force Require setting up recycling for all this stuff too.

The American school of business is all about shrinking companies why not grow and make even more productive. Btw EVE claims most of their cells are made by robot and AI. As we grow less and less human involvement will be required for repetitive. Ev manufacturing is proving that too. Eliminate ppl drive down cost and liability. Maybe get consistant quality....from robotic that humans can not do daily.

Basically look around... not going to need as many ppl...hence why there was talk in agenda 2021 about depopulation to which ppl like bill gates spoke. Amazing how many ppl did not take them serious.

That is what I think.

Enjoyed the read. Yes to Bidirectional EV Chargers. Won't be encouraging political dialogue here, while not disagreeing w your thoughts. My recent research of tariff impacts on products I might buy ... say newer next phase of non EV lithium battery tariffs start 2026 (what I read in informative article). ... And re my local $ 0.30 per watt good deal find of 395 watt Hyperion (brand) PV Solar Panels ... I found out they are made in the USA and China. So, (while not sure which country mine came from), ... I am gona relax on idea of stocking up for now.

Yesterday I purchased a 12.8 100 AH universal group 24 Lifepo4 for 105.49 using their coupon on Amazon. Will be here in 7 days ( USA stock )
seems that at least for now some suppliers have stocked up in the USA.

But but but the prices were skyrocketing after the election.

Yep. Act soon if you want batteries.

Not really, I suggest you fix Spain, then you can complain about the US. Of course most of Europe is actually a US B*tch, completely beholden. Someone from a country that cannot manage it's own budget talking about another country is pretty arrogant. I mean you shouldn't even care about the US as Spain is so wonderful nobody ever wants to leave.

A 60% tariff on 1% of the goods coming in is likely not to be disruptive. Some items may be noticeably affected. Others not at all.

Why are you getting so angry about someone’s opinion? How are we beholden to the USA?
Last time I checked this forum wasn’t USA only & then only certain political viewpoints. It’s a free speech zone baby, love it or leave it.

Do you not know what free speech is?
Er,yep I think so😂 it has consequences, like people not liking what you say but it’s water off a ducks back for me mate. What I said isn’t controversial but this bloke think it’s an attack, his problem really.
