Vevor has a fabulous Steel battery box for <$50. free quick shipping (OnTrac) from CA - gets to me in NJ < week.
I just built one 12V300Ah battery in one, and already ordered a second one for another. Build quality is solid. It is available in steel and aluminum. I bought Steel.
I was able to put 1" styrofoam below and all around, and silicone heating pads below. I used standard EVE 304 Ah cells from Docan, and an old style overkill JBD 4S120A BMS
Will add pics later today.

Yes, one can buy 12V300Ah built batteries for a skosh (10%) less than what this will cost, but my DIY will have heating pads, Grade A EVE/CATL cells, a fully controllable JBD BMS, wires sufficiently over gauged to make me smile, and internal DC breakers to protect. Solid steel case, not light, makes me feel good about the robustness of the battery. I will use them for off grid cabin as well as boon docking - so portability and security from minor knock abouts is desirable.

This is timely. I have the same box and am in the process of getting things layed out. It would be very helpful to see some pctures, etc.

This looks ideal for my project. Not impressed with the plastic models out there. Boondocking and home emergency use are the purposes for the build. I could strap this to hand trucks for portability.

I am a lazy scatterbrained bast@rd :p I had the cells in but forgot to take photos. Now disassembled due to bad cell. However I just received my new one, so will send photos of package and onwards to fully populated.

@rajseth Where are you mounting the BMS? I am using the new OKS Pathfinder BMS and finding that it to be thicker than the older JBD BMS. Since it has an OLED screen I am thinking that it is best to mount it in the lid.

do you have any pictures of how you did it, looking at the inside measurements there is enough room to put 1 inch foam at the ends and bottom, but not the sides. I am not sure how you would mount everything, would be nice to see how you did it.

Please take photo's to prove you actually have said product, and are not just shilling a product for an alternate motive.
