Very new to this. Living in San Diego area and looking for aprox 10kw system with battery backup. Our house probably only needs 5kw but i was thinking if we go over , we can use our system for EV charging or bitcoin mining to recover extra power production.
Our main panel is only 100amp so was thinking most cost effective way is Renewable Meter Adapter from electrical company at $1300
So far bids from Solar companies are in the range of 28-34k without the battery +14-20k for 10kw battery backup (seems expensive)
Can you guys please recommend good reliable panels, inverters and battery options? maybe tips where i can save money? i was thinking to buy a used battery on ebay but it turns out different inverters have to be paired only with certain batteries. Have heard that Sol_ark might be a good option that works with different batteries?
