Hello everyone, I am looking for some insight I've learned alot of cool things from the forum so far.

Here's what I have an alpenlite 34ft 50amp 125/240v 5th wheel,48v lipo4 100ah,growatt 48v spf3000tl-es 120v, solar disconnect switch. Waiting on more information before I purchase panels and breaker box.

First question is I'd like to leave the 12v system as is for 12v loads when I do get to turn on the solar system do I need to disconnect the converter?

Second I have not bought a rv breaker box because I have not found a solid answer while searching. Is there a way to wire my 120v growatt to a 50amp rv outlet or is the safest option is to use a 3 wire 30amp outlet.

I will add pictures of my rv panel and a diagram for the wiring. I will be adding a second inverter to this system down the line to make a split phase 240 set up when I purchase a electric car that's why I was curious about the 50amp or 30amp rv breaker box. For the mean time I'd like to be as much off grid as possible thanks for all the assistance.

A 50 amp fifth wheel isn't 240. It's split phase 120. I would leave the existing main distribution panel in place. I'm not sure that your Growatt inverter is the right one for this install. I'm not familiar with it. The Victron Multiplus II is specifically designed for this type of install.

Do you have an on-board generator or the generator prep wiring? If so, you'll have an automatic transfer switch that you need to deal with. The wires from the ATS that go to the main distribution panel will instead go to the inverter and then from the inverter to the main distribution panel.

While I don't have a 50 amp fifth wheel I did assist on an install of a friend's 50 amp Fifth wheel.

I should add that my 5th wheel is stationary as well a ground mounted system and I'll include the specs of the all in one inverter much appreciated. My 5th wheel did not come with a generator I'll have to check if it has wiring for that.

Greater minds than mine will know for sure, but it looks like that inverter does split phase only where there are two of them. Split phase with just one isn't going to work.

@schmism has experience with the Growatts and should have a better answer.

Thanks for the insight! You're correct I would not be able to do split phase until I pair a second inverter.

I used this schematic which uses a manual switch to bridge L1/L2 when on 30/15a shore power, generator (power assist) or off grid entirely.
This lets the Inverter power both sides of a 50a split phase AC box, and it works great.
In my case the form factor of the older Victron Multiplus was much easier to install.
