Hi all. tall tree to the east of home blocks light until about 10 AM, this is our booster idea that followed some property maintainance. Surplus everything except the pvc box. The buried wire is #2 (in conduit) for about a 50 foot run to an unused PWM controller, which should be fine for this single exposure group. At 8:30 first day we were getting an extra 11A into the project. Voltage gets up around 32 at peak. "Legs" or lower braces are from a broken popup tent and have adustable length so I could aim these in a lot of directions...

PWM should always be essentially at battery voltage. 32V seems very high unless they're open circuit.

I wish I had that much spare 2awg laying about. Using the voltage/current numbers from the shunt, I likely would have gone with 6awg because I'm a cheap bastid.

Very nice solution.

20 years ago I had been given a lot of remnant wire and I am using it up. #6 would have been welcome, however at least I do not have to be concerned with voltage drop.... the voltages of the panel throughout the day sits around 27, which is good I think.

What we go through to balance nature and energy production. I posted this morning about having to severely prune trees to get to a decent production this time of year.
