need a 12v inverter for rv microwave that manual says draws 1350watts (900 cook wats) , 1500 watt inverter good enough ?
only use it to reheat coffee maybe food , 2 minutes run time max

there is a big surge when it starts up...its the current in-rush.
You would need a current meter that has a special mode called in-rush mode; and of course its pricey hehe
you could just try a somewhat safe rule-of-thumb in that the inrush current will be 3x the normal draw (yes, thats 3 * 1350 = 4kw!)

I am sure somebody on these forums has sized an inverter for a large microwave and can give you some real-world numbers.

My Prosine 1000w inverter runs my RV microwave for 30 seconds at a time, haven't checked to see if its the battery voltage or inverter that causes issues beyond 30 sec......we just don't use it much.

My xantrex 2000W inverter runs my microwave just fine.

A quality 1500 watt should have no issues. I recommend sine wave only. I never see a start surge with mine.

All inverters create a sine wave, its just a matter of which one.

You want a pure or "true" sign wave. Some people call them different things.
