Inverter generator to Multiplus with Double-Throw Safety Switch question

OK. I currently have grid feed to my Multiplus for charging purposes. Works very nicely.

I am planning on adding a Champion Inverter generator to the mix. From what I have read it bonds neutral to ground.

In previous readings, it suggests that the Multiplus will adjust neutral to ground feed based on the electrical input. So with grid feed it separates them.

In the current design, the generator will feed to a breaker and then to a Double-Throw Safety switch which clearly isolates generator from grid.

The wiring diagrams I have seen seem pretty clear about the line and neutral connections. It is the ground I am wondering about. A previous change over switch I was considering had the ground from both the generator and grid connected. Another source has the ground for the generator remaining outside.

Either way I will need to maintain the ground connection for the grid.

Looking for suggestions. Thank you in advance.

All grounding should always be connected together.
Perfect. Thank for the quick answer.

Following those thoughts, the main has neutral bonded to ground. If the generator has the same then the Multiplus would respond the same way as I understand it.

I would assume so. But I would have to verify it. (I don't trust anything that I don't verify)

Actually I would defeat the generator N/G bond. Because you don't want two, and you already have one at the main panel.
