I thought I had my answer with the Chilicon microinverters, however Generac informs me, "Using only a single panel per microinverter, you wouldn't quite meet the threshold for our start up voltage requirements (55V). If you put 2 panels per microinverter, that is going to push you over our MPPT tracking range and start up voltages."
Huh? We're supposed to be living in the 21st Century here, folks. WTH? And nothing Enphase makes can handle my panel power.
Longi HI-Mo 9, 660w. I've bought 72 of these panels for my housing development.
AFAICT Fronius makes a good unit but it may not be all-in-one. LuxPower also makes good units but they are gigantic and expensive. SunGrow has a terrible product presentation, and -mandates- connection to their frick-in' 'cloud'. Amensolar/NHX/Vestwoods I am up in the air about. LuxPower/Megarevo/EG4 has good features but they are gigantic and clunky-looking.
Eleven 660w panels will go on each house in two to three strings. I will install them grid-tied, but it would be nice to have the possibility of future owners to add batteries. I'm certainly not going to do it. I absolutely must pass electrical inspection by the State. (WA)
I realize that there's a maelstrom of opinions here but the forum overall seems fact-based and user-friendly.
Any advice?
