Hi everyone,

I am in the process of helping my father build a carport where the roof of the unit will be bi-facial panels.

I have a question for all you smart people! Since the output of the panels can vary so much because of the reflection coming back from the underside of the panels, does anyone have any suggestions for inverters? I was thinking of two specific options but I am open to anyone who has suggestions.

- Grid-tied - microinverters or string with optimizers
- Hybrid Grid-tied with batteries - with per-panel optimizers

Any information is much appreciated!

Hi Tryingtolearnsolar,

Either should work, actually any of the solar products would work. The trick is to understand your albedo over the seasons and to size the wiring and and SCC for the maximum power same as you would any system.
