Hi folks,
1st time poster so excuse the newby vibes. I've searched for the model and done a bunch of reading but I just have a few questions regarding using a MPP solar PIP-2424MSE1 24

I'm building a small camper trailer and am considering putting in a 24v lifepo4 battery using 120a/h cells from Basen on Alibaba. I'm wanting a 2400w 240v inverter so am looking at the PIP-2424MSE1 24. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/-MSE1-2400w-24vdc-220vac-pure_50044478966.html
I'll have solar on the roof of it but due to it's physical size this will only be around 500w total. I'll also need to charge it from my car at times which is obviously only 12v and there isn't room for another alternator.

What's the best way to charger the battery from the 12v and would it be through the PIP-2424MSE1 24? Maybe through it's solar input? Is that unit even my best option for this project? Will it hold up ok in an off road camper?

Thanks
Jesse

If you're in the U.S., you should get it from http://www.watts247.com out of Utah.

The PIP can't charge from anything but solar, grid or generator. You'll need a 12 to 24VDC charger:

Thanks for the reply. Would I run in to problems if the 12-24v charger and the PIP receiving solar power were both connected to the batter at the same time?

No. Chargers work by responding to battery voltage and altering their behavior. You could have solar, genny/grid and alternator charging all at once.
