Hello,
I accidentally broke the terminal of an EVE brand lifepo4 cell.
This is the LF230 cubicle with the square terminal.
Tightening the bolt, the screw cut flush
Do you know if the screw can be extracted or is it a screw sealed to the cell
If it's sealed do you have an idea to repair the cell? Can a new screw be soldered onto the terminal maybe?
Attached is a photo of the connection terminal.
Thank you for your ideas and opinions. Peace

There’s a few threads of people drilling and tapping. That’s a bit precise. Not many threads under that screw. Once in, the stud was secured with locktite.

A picture of the damage could help.

Oh great that's good news! I was afraid that stud was welded.
I have a hope of repairing the cell.
I will post a photo in the afternoon I will disassemble the battery but basically the stud is broken at the base of the aluminum square.
Thanks for the hope :)

The stud could be welded. The other issue is if you do drill would need to be cut flush first.

There’s a bit involved if you do go that route. I would not want to attempt without a drill press, which I have never used. The taps I own are for bolts and would not work to tap a blank hole. I’d have to get new taps.

Wait to see who else responds. May be easier to order a new cell if this does not take forever.
