Greetings.
At my residence; all my solar grid-tied generation fed into the grid gets 100% credit for the same electric rate consumed from the electric utility, and will be that good for 22 more years... they said...
Now the law has changed to the generated energy to be credited at 75% of the rate for new installations. Am planning to put solar generation in a second residence.
Does it mean 25% of what I will generate in the new installation will be pocketed by the electric utility or am interpreting it wrong ?

Heard some noise the president is planning to stimulate solar energy for residential dwellings 'soon'. How is the plan ? Do you know details ? How does it match with the reduction-to-75% ?

What strategy action is convenient ? Hybrid with batteries instead of grid tied ? Change times of consumption ?

No, it means you will only be paid 75% of the cost they charge you to use power.
Not a 100% credit.
They still pay you for everything your system sends them.

Is it monthly or annual true up? 75% net billing with annual true up would still be a really sweet subsidy.

Either way batteries probably won't make economic sense at a 75% credit rate.

Unclear to my brain :(... If I inject 100KWh into the grid and get credited for 75KWh; the utility sells, bills and collects the 25KWh to my neighbors.

Or I should not see it as energy but as dollars ? Assuming $0.10 per KWh :
If I inject $10 into the grid and get credit for $7.50; the utility sells, bills and collects $2.50 to my neighbors.

Now what does it mean... The utility company gave me credit of $7.50 but received $2.50 from my neighbors... So the utility company cost of the $7.50 credited to me costs them $2.50 less, being actually $5.00 ? 🤔

If I inject 100KWh into the grid and get credited for 75KWh; the utility sells, bills and collects the 25KWh to my neighbors.
Exactly. They are, after all, in business to make money. 75% isn’t bad for them having to maintain and build out the grid.
