First of all thank you for exceptI got me to the forum. I have is that just had a solar system fitted to my van conversion by a professional installer. This specific installer normally works with Victron however my inverter is Renogy 3000w. He’s fitted three 150 W panel, a Victron MPPT controller and a Victron shunt.
The installer has indicated that there is a reverse polarity light on the main controller when offgrid, as soon as you plug the hook up in there rev popularity like goes out. He’s a reassured me that this is not a issue as he has checked all the earthing straps and feels it simply to do with their Renogy inverter itself and the way it’s works inside. Obviously this has caused me concerns and I’m worried that I may get electric shock when I’m using the inverter, can anyone advise.

I would assume this is a normal floating neutral-ground when on inverter power. Check and post the voltage from hot-ground and neutral-ground.
