JBD AP21S002 300A Unable to Set Parameters

I've put together a 16s battery after purchasing from Amy Wan at Luyuan, which included a JBD AP21S002 300A BMS.

Trying to set parameters and largely failing, i.e. when I type in a parameter and hit the "Set" button on the JBD app (installed from the Play store on Android), I get the message "Setting failed".
I've also tried the Xiaoxiang 3.1.1026 app from the Jiabaida site (which wouldn't connect to the BMS) and the Overkill app (which would only connect to the BMS when the JBD app was also connected).

I was at least able to get a couple charge temperature parameters changed by alternating between the JBD and Overkill apps with both running, but that seems like a really poor way to do things.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure the thing out, and looking for two options:
1) Suggestions for how to reliably connect and set parameters, or
2) Suggestions for a BMS to replace the JBD with a more reliable / understandable interface.

I use the Overkill app exclusively and have no issues. I have had issues in the past when multiple BMS apps are installed.

Have you tried a different device, i.e., different phone or tablet?

I Didn't install the other apps until I had issues with first JBD app. Guess I could try uninstalling that app and try just using Overkill. I did notice that the Overkill app didn't ask for a password - wondering if that's why it can't connect w/o the JBD app running also.

I haven't tried a different phone or table - Might give that a shot tomorrow.

Managed to get the settings changed to what I think will work using the combo of the JBD and Overkill app. (Can't connect to the BMS using Overkill alone - suspect that's because a password/PIN was set in the JBD app and there doesn't appear to be a way to enter that in the Overkill app. Also tried the Overkill app by itself on a different tablet with no success.)

I've attached screenshots of the readings and settings from the Overkill and JBD apps in case anyone feels like proofing the settings for newbie errors.

There are a few settings in the JBD app that don't seem to appear in the Overkill app, like "SOC acceleration ratio" which is set at 22065% and I don't have a clue what it means... But since I can change it I'll live with it if no one sees a problem.

Also if anyone has a suggestion for how to clear the password from the BMS so I can access with Overkill alone I'd be grateful - but I'm happy its functioning now.
