I have installed JBD-AP21S002 BMS with 16s Lifepo4 cells with my off grid solar system. Although its giving good back up but there is one issue that when the battery charging is full and the BMS disables the charging port, no heavy load, say 1.5kw or more can run on the solar system during the day time when PV current and full battery both are available. The inverter is switched off on heavy load. The load greater than 1.5 kw can only run either I turn off PV power or switch off the battery or even give grid power to the inverter.

This problem is not faced when the battery is in charging state. I checked it by changing recharge volt of the battery and by manually enabling the charging port of BMS. The inverter worked well even without battery solely on PV input and can handle 4kw load easily.

Any solution or advice to keep the BMS in running state for heavy load.

The charging shouldn't be disabled when the battery is full unless something isn't programmed correctly.
Treat the BMS as the last line of defense and program the inverter to stop charging before BMS protection limits are reached.

What voltage are you changing to?

A BMS with a relay contactor instead of back-to-back MOSFET's will act like this when a single cell exceeds maximum voltage.

It requires battery voltage to drop a bit before it re-closes contactor relay.

If your cells are out of balance it will happen every time you try to fully charge battery.
