JK BMS BT error: Device is not supported

I got that far but it was blocked by my phone and I cannot see any way to bypass that.

GGRR!! I tried that an and got no farther. Frustrating.

[EDIT] I finally got it to install. One of these days I will figure out hot to use a smart phone. :poop:

Bluetooth cannot find the bms on anything later than 3.7.5 app. Running android 12 Samsung Galaxy 21 ultra. Can someone confirm that have the latest version working on Android 12? If you do, what phone?

I have Android 12, Pixel 3-XL, and version 4.7.1, working great. But when I installed it, I noticed that the new APK file is quite a bit smaller than a previous version (IIRC, that was Version 4.6.5). I don't know if the software build process was improved, or whether 'legacy' device information was possibly removed. I have only the very new JK-B1A8S20P-H, and can't advise whether all older or bigger devices wok with the new version.

I don't own a Samsung, maybe someone else can confirm that they work. within Android "App Permissions", it is allowed everything except for "Camera" and "Microphone":
  • 'Files and media' value "Media"
  • 'Location' value "Allowed all the time"
  • Nearby device permission value "Allow" (this is critical, and defaults to "Don't allow" upon first installation).
I hope my info helps.

Changed permissions around and got it to finally work. Thank you. I'm on 4.7.4 b2a24s20p

For this question, we will add it in FAQ, thank you

screen snapshot images, rather than URLs, are maybe not that helpful for any other person to use.

Here is a URL which appears to point at the various device alternative download types in their most current versions, the linked Andriod 'apk' download page being version 4.8.4 as I write this. I have used this as a bookmarked page to download earlier versions in the past. This 'pyger' download page highlights other distracting links, which maybe offer games" or "lotteries" or who-know-what possibly unsafe downloads in Chinese. I don't like the scheme, but it worked today with those extraneous-garbage links ignored.

Open within your cellphone browser (chrome or safari) to proceed. I don;t know if the "key" was intended to be unique, and apologize if that was the case.

If no objections or reports of failure result from this post, I turn it into a "resource" reference page.

I have 7.4 loaded now. What differences does this version have over that version? Do you have a list of changes?
