I have two issues, and I'm not sure if they are related.
This is in my RV, on a 24v 8s 230 Ah EVE battery that I put together three+ weeks ago. It has been working fine until today. I used to have two Battle Born batteries in series, but replaced them because one went bad. Battle Born said that I needed to double the battery size in order to safely match the inverter.
JKBMS Model PB2A16S20P
Inverter: Magnum MSH4024M (4000 watts, 24v)
(1) Discharge short circuit
About two weeks ago, I set the inverter to automatically switch to battery power (from 120v shore power) when the batteries were charged enough (in order use my solar power to minimize using shore power electricity).
I have seen this message on the BMS system log (see attachment) when the inverter switches to battery power: "Discharge short circuit protection" and a few seconds later "Discharge short circuit protection released". (There is a short interruption in power to the RV.)
Does this message indicate a problem?
(2) Blown 3 amp fuse
Today, the fuse between the JKBMS "BAT+" and battery blew. I had put in the fuse while following one of the wiring diagrams online (see attachment, which shows 2 amp fuse). I have also noticed that some of the diagrams don't even show a fuse.
Is a 3 amp fuse correct? Is this related to the "Discharge short circuit"?
