2 fast presses on Power Switch you get 1 BEEP to indicate BT is OFF.
2 More presses on the switch enabled BT and gives 2 beeps.

Nice Feature but NOT a Fix.

There is nothing in the latest Droid App for that.... makes sense as it disables BT... Did not see anything in PC App either.
 
Ugh, guess JK will never fix the SOC 100% stop charging issue.
Hopefully my ordered Ghost Battery SOC Fixer will arrive faster.

Well Andy is loving his accolades for getting things done BUT not much really got accomplished (Appeasement & Pacification) given this is "FACE SAVING" attempt by JK. The list re-posted on P.15 from P3 was culled from videos etc (a few Andy's too) but he is NOT mentioning that. So while the "list" of issues plus those not in it and committed he get's his Hero Worship and clickage climbs $$$ ...

Never mind the Forums (Here, & EU ones) the FacePox groups & others who have all rallied around these issues and who've posted links to Andy's Happy Place and he doesn't even peep about it but His Users & Followers who supported his efforts for what he did... goodness gracious...

Hmmm.....I just finished reading the comment section. Andy said he will address the SOC 100% in the next video. One can only hope..............

He is a Great presenter & has a good video personality that engages people, even if a tad quirky at times.
A friend gave me a handy list of Posts in this thread with issues etc... Andy has likely not looked here... he avoids us.
posts #3, #10, #11, #24, #68. which should likely get posted to his YT (content not links to) but would probably get deleted because it's too much info to address.

Ahh well,m were got the TOKEN fixes and Feature Add for pacification and that is probably the end of it for now, especially if there isn't any pressure on JK to actually deliver & save company face.

The SOC Math is NOT that hard ! a 10 Year old with a Calculator could figure it out. You do not have to be a SAS Programmer to figure it out.
HOWEVER the hardware components they use may not be fully capable of measuring Low Voltage/Amperages going through. This is where the various Coulomb Counters & Smart Shunts also factor in as we've seen. Some are really good and can register pretty small "traffic" while others don't. Compare a Victron smartshunt to one of the cheapo's on the market and things become pretty evident quickly.

Ok. Someone has taken the time to list a number of these issues under the video in the comments section. If you sort by newest first they are grouped together.

If enough people give a thumbs up to these concerns they "might" stand out and perhaps Andy will add them to the list of repairs needed.
 
Hardware Packaging Change !

I have a replacement BMS and they changed a few things (imagine that).
- There is no B+ {Power) attached to it with a plug that has a mate connected to B+. They now only provide a small (20-awg?) wire without a disconnect plug. (This is a mistake IMO because you cannot de-energize the BMS without removing the wire from Cell Terminal.)
- They now "wrap" in mesh the wire harnesses for the COMMS board (good, tidier)
- They changed the power switch. Seems that if you order a display with it, the switch won't light up but if no display you get a switch that lights up ? WTH ? Especially now if with BT ON/OFF the lit switch indicates that status...

BMS is not installed, so I cannot see what firmware & what version (if different) it is. There is nothing on the board or packaging labels to indicate a hardware version or such.
 
I ordered this this last Aug 23 and received it yesterday:

HW is 15A
BAT+ now comes with an M4 terminal instead of the previous quick connect/disconnect wire (that is also a regular on other BMS). I like this M4 terminal, but do not like the wire.
The Button is 4 wires (instead of 2). I did not pay attention to this button if it lits up or not.
The visible coil (upper right) is encircled with a some substance.. my earlier ones does not.
I powered it up by connecting it to a 30V bench power supply, then hit push button.

I bought this, to test out dry contact functions. My four JKs (bought from Yixiang) fail to trigger dry contacts (FW 15.18, 15.24, 15.27, 15.30).

YEP, That's it how they are shipping At the Moment !
The M4 termination is right but I also do NOT like this thin wire without the plug in-between. Penny Pinching IMO and poor one at that.

I'm not sure about the Switch behaviour (lit or not) because I use the displays with all of them and the switches I got with that batch do not light up. *THIS SEEMS INCONSISTENT ! From some video's like on Andy's where he has the BMS with Display's the switches also light up but on a few others they don't... Very Odd indeed.

Huh....I like the M4 terminal , I broke Bat+ cable out of the soldering on one of my JKBMS last time. This M4 will make it easier to fix.
With that current wire, should be easier to install a tiny breaker to disconnect as well.
The black substance is the potting substance, a workaround to prevent coil whine I guess?
 
The wire wrap helps bundle the wires better. Makes it a little less confusing, BMS leads vs wires to the circuit board. It would look even nicer if they sourced some ribbon cable instead.

Regarding the power wire. Yes one can install a switch or something else, but it looks like a step to decrease their cost. A step backwards in my personal opinion.

I don't know if I'd call it a workaround. More like standard practice. I've seen potted coils on lots of equipment, both cheap and high end.

I must have the version between what Steve posted and older models. The only difference with mine is that the cable for the on/off button is excessively long and bulky. It would have been nice to have the one in the picture.
 
Thanks for the updates guys. I can live with the older version. Nothing to make me jealous yet.
Everything still seems compatible. I haven't tried to update the firmware yet. I don't even know what firmware I'm on.

This was listed ~USD50 at Lazada platform and I thought it was a scam.
So I bought PB1A16S15P. Not too expensive to burn my pocket, nor too low current rated to be completely useless.

I will be ordering PB2A16S20P this coming 9/9 when the platform will be having another round of sales campaign.

Wow, the Hardware is 15 so that's good.
The firmware 15:18 is pretty old (relatively speaking LOL) I dunno what that one's quirks/foibles & goofs are.
Your Phone App 4.16 is quite dated and if memory serves does have all the things needed for the inverter models. Likely best to update that phone app.

Just peaked into Andy's Garage's last video - comments. More issues being reported (including some fixed issues).
Other issues are being reported elsewhere as well... IS ANYONE SURPRISED ?
