Yes, I have wondered the same. With all the goodies probably will not be cheap, but hopefully will be worth it. Time will tell...

At one time prototype boards was thought to be possible by the end of this month (August).
 
Clearly not many want to step up and advocate for others so why I bothered I dunno, just wanted to help the masses stuck with these issues (My BAD I guess, I come from different generation with different views that are not compatible in 2024).

If Will chose to make a Vid addressing the JK Shenanigans then likely a few other YT Personalities may take notice & chime in as well and GET Traction "maybe" with JK.

Will, I don't see why you don't. You aren't reviewing "parts" and components much at all anymore and if a BMS Co cuts you off it's not a loss in any way. I hope it isn;t because of fear that others may see you slam a Nasty Company Bad Practices and may decide to cut you off to prevent getting bad reviews.

AUG.16 Update: (Last Day for JK to react/act/respond)
No One has reported any contact from JK, Suppliers in China included.
This is as of 06:45 EST / 18:45 Shenzhen Time.

Saw new issues posted on YT, not adding them into this - just more AIO's that have issues with protocol compatibility/incompletion.
Other issues were also posted on other forums (non-english) but popped up in search yesterday. I did not take time to translate & read them. Hopefully other sites are applying pressure on JK and spreading the word.
 
Just finished reading the whole thread right now. I think the only real way to fix this is to have an american-based distributor work with them directly. This would hold their feet over a fire and force software issues to be resolved in a timely manner.

Otherwise, it seems like they simply just don't care. They are a supplier for large companies so I think they ignore consumers entirely and only communicate with large businesses.

To really ensure reliability of many of these Chinese companies, you need someone actually in China to keep an eye on things. This is true for many of these solar companies that distribute here in America.

If not they will just continue to ignore us.

The apathy virus obviously rules the day so there's no point is there. THAT is likely what JK & Other are hoping for, so expect even worse Help/Support moving forward from them and others.

Too Bad Will, if you made a vid about the support & issues (lack thereof) would get traction on YT and get noticed "biggly" and would need a response.

No, what you need to do is find a solution here. You think this company cares what I make a video about like the direct to consumer manufacturers? What you need to do is create orders larger than their current customer base and send people over to ensure they are doing a good job and fixing software issues.

Because currently, the buyers of these BMS don't seem to have an issue selling them, and they are not listening to consumers at all. I know quite a few other companies that are like this. It's nothing new. No matter how much I scream and shout at them, they simply do not care. They are not reliant on "views" or public opinion. They work for the other companies, not us.

One possible solution is to find their largest customer, and complain about their products until they fix the BMS software. Who is their largest customer? Can someone find that out?

I've never talked to this company before. And they never reached out.

Also the last thing on my mind right now is making a video about this or DCS. I have my own life and three buildings getting constructed. How about you fly out here and finish up this concrete for me so I can fix this jk issue. It's wild that people don't realize I have many things going on every single day. Many times I won't have a single minute to myself. I am responding and running this forum while I do other things. And the lack of appreciation and entitlement for making videos on every single product is mind blowing. I've covered hundreds of products already and my new laboratory buildings will make test videos a million times better. But I can't be expected to read every single thread on this forum every single day. This is first I'm hearing of it. So it's just a software issue right? Do they have a building or headquarters that somebody can walk into? If they are purely chinese-based I think we need to find someone that's actually in China to fix this. I think the best way is to find their largest customer. And then complain to them.
 

Watching all of Andy's videos covering it all. Is there an alternative BMS with communication? If they won't listen to everyone here or Andy, we need a different angle. Or to find a better company. What's the other options right now?

You need to go to China to fix this. I've never worked with this company before. I think Andy should head over there and get them in line. Or find a better company.

The cheapest and where I buy them is off AliExpress using the hankzor store. (the non inverter 200A 2A 20 cell for around $100 etc).

I don't see why any potential distributor would care as they don't have exclusivity like solark in north America etc to lock in premium pricing versus cheap China direct imports.
 
Is there any other products that are better and available? Non responsive companies are a pain.
I don't think there's anything else that claims to support inverter comms along with 2A active balancing. Some use Seplos or JBD with external balancers I think.

Both have good comms, but passive balancing.
Due to victron's way of implementing comms and seperated chargers and inverters may require specific setting

I would have expected much more support for this @Steve_S , given how hard this BMS has been pushed.
Hardware seems descent, software not so much
Sorry most people pushing hard in the past let you down, however I do want to thank you for your effort, this BMS had potential
 
Steve provided some email links at JK itself. Sadly no one I know has received a response. Perhaps that could be a start?
