Hi. I’m trying to figure out how to connect a 7 pin coming out of a Hobby King battery balancer to the Stealth EV board I’m installing in the Tesla’s. There are six cells, ground, T1,T2,T1,T2 and blank.
the question is the configuration of the 7 pin going into the Hobby King. Anyone have amy guidance here??

My issue is I know I have 7 wires going into the Hobby King battery balancer and I know six of them are for 6 cells. But I have a 7th wire that I do not knowwhat it is for, ground, or Temp 1. I’m coming out of the Tesla from a Stealth EV card and each cell wire, negative, T1,T2, and blank are all accounted for coming out. It’s the 7th wire going into the Battery King that’s perplexing.

IDK if this will help, but I found this with a Google image search...

Ok. I spliced the black wire to ground and the six remaining wires to the six cell wires. When I plug into the Hobby King I do not get 6 cells readout. I get one 5.67 reading and it’s rapidly gets warm and smells like an electrical fire. I have it wired correctly I believe. Unless the (viewed from back of plug) is opposite of my perspective. Any thoughts?

That doesn't sound good. can you measure voltages across the connector yourself?
Don't they offer a wiring diagram for Stealth EV and Hobby King?

I took a Centech 61593 placed the selector on 20 V~ and tried the black lead in the negative and reds lead in cell holes to no avail. Perhaps I have tester set wrong??? I really don’t know anything about this stuff. May as well be honest about it.

~ usually means AC on most meters. Is there a Vdc selection on your meter?

Ok. Got the tester set to proper mode. Each cell is testing out it appears ok. Maybe I have a wired crossed/connected wrong?
