i had posted something similiar earlier but now that i have the exact battery,,, my usage is i put the 12v battery behind the drivers seat and hook my 12v cooler directly up to it. usually lasts me a few days. can i hook up a charging cord straight from the alternator ( toyota prius 2012) or i could plug in a small inverter in the 12v accessory port and use a real charger? in my 4runner, i have a inverter 115v plug that may work.

i already have a battery tender that i can set to lithium, will that work to charge it while i am driving?

although, i hooked it up to the lithium soria battery i have in my atv and i think it ruined it, not sure what happened yet

Personally, I would never risk destroying a LiFePO4 battery on a less than ideal battery tender or even a genius charger. For your application I would highly recommend a DC to DC charger or even a small quality SCC. Do not hook up a charging cord directly to the alternator. Seriously, spend some money on a quality charger. Your battery will thank you.
Also, purchase a battery shunt so you can keep an eye on state of charge and more importantly, amps in/out.
