I just purchased 8 Lishen 280Ah 3.2v LiFePO4 cells through Alibaba.com. I wanted to start this thread to share my experience.

Cost each was $75.20 x 8 + 241.70 shipping to USA = $843.30 USD

• We will matched(capacity,voltage,resistance) all cells before delivery , Price is including bus bars and screws.

They are due to arrive just before the end of the year. I'll add to the thread when I hear more and test them when they arrive and report back.

First post here for me. Long time lurker.
I’m Jon from the southwest UK.
I have also 3 weeks ago ordered 32pcs of the 272ah Lishen Prismatics from Alex at Basen to build a power wall for my ESS at my home.
Hopefully they turn out good cells.
Due to arrive end November/Early December. Sea shipping to the UK wasn’t an option so they are coming by Rail on the China to Poland freight service then UPS onwards to me.

i don’t have the invoice to hand but it was $3200 all in DDP. So $100 a cell. Very reasonable I thought. Be glad to get rid of my 40kwh forklift pack. Slow and so inefficient.

Have you noticed the thread about putting pressure on these type cells, to stop them from swelling on the large side? (you should look at that concern).

I have gone for the ANT BMS. 300a with lcd. Mounting in a Rittal 760x760x300 electric enclosure. Room for 30kW in there.
Also a 2amp active balancer with Bluetooth.

I've been trying to buy 4 of these cells for the past week. Alibaba won't accept my cards. How did you do it?

I don't know what card you have but I have Discover. I have learned that with Discover that an "unexpected" purchase will send a text message verification that unless you respond in X seconds, the transaction will fail. I placed an order through Alibaba last week. I first called Discover and told them I was planning to make an international transaction. In the conversation they recorded/asked, When, "right now, in the next hour", how much, "about $900", and told themit was like a Chinese Ebay where the charge might be Alibaba or might be <store>. Discover set some exception switches in there fraud checker and said, "you are good to go". Transaction went without a hitch.

I just ordered 32 Lishen 280ah 3.2V cells with busbars and bolts for $2903.19 includes shipping, taxes, import duties etc thru Alibaba.com to be shipped to South Dakota, They were $2820.00 for 32 but there was a $83.19 transaction fee so the total cost was $2903.19 for an average delivered to my door of ..... $90.7246875 dollars per cell (round it off where you want) I charged them to my credit card so I will get 1.5% back and safer also. Now hurry and wait for the slow boat ride, and wait and wait and wait!!!!

I paid for 8 pcs Lishen 272 ah for US$770.00 including air freight to Kuala Lumpur on Friday Nov 13th from Shenzen Yidong Technology Co Ltd.. I got a message this afternoon from local corrier that my parcels is going to be deliver to my home on Thursday Nov 19th. Im very excited about getting new batteries which many people are talking about and the speed that they shipped from China to Malaysia in less than a week. I could track the parcels all the way until now. Looking forward to share my experience with our fellow DIY solar group here from across the globe.

It appears that Lishen released a very large amount of the 272Ah cells to the aftermarket, as I now see them listed by many suppliers. The datasheet I read shows a 2019 manufacturing date, so I'm guessing that they are dumping old stock, which is great for us.

Before I assemble my battery, I would like to have an opinion whether to top balance or bottom balance..I am going to be conservative in using this battery bank. So I will cycle between 20% to 80% state of charge. Appreciate any comments or ideas before I start assembling my battery of 8 pcs lifepo4 3.2v 280ah into 24volts battery for my solar.

Definitely top balance for solar/off grid scenarios.

Hopefully they are as good as EVE cells. Can’t see why they wouldn’t be. Lishen is a massive manufacturer too.

Went to the same site and checked on 272 and 280A, 8 pcs come up $75.20 plus $237.10 for both amperages for a total of $837.10, much more than you guys shipping in this case to NM.
