Looking for a solid recommendation on a Kill a Watt monitor. A link is helpful, thanks in advance.
Do you personally own this model? I had a similar one and it wasn't very accurate.I like Circuit Specialists. They have a great selection of all kinds of test equipment.
This is the lowest price I have seen on Kill-A-Watt meters.

Like you, I have concerns about overheating and melting... Accuracy for this project is the object but nothing wrong with safety either!! ThanksMy DIY build.
So here is My DIY "Kill-A-Watt" meter
I was not keen on the reviews for the P3 "Kill-A-Watt" meter based on the Amazon reviews. So I bought these: AC Digital Meter, DROK Current Voltage Amperage Power Energy Frequency Factor Multimeter Leviton 5361-I 20 Amp, 125 Volt, Industrial Heavy Duty Grade, Single Receptacle Ogrmar Plastic...www.diysolarforum.com
I have a few of this model. How accurate do you need to be?Do you personally own this model? I had a similar one and it wasn't very accurate.
The one I had fluctuated a lot regardless of where I used it.I have a few of this model. How accurate do you need to be?
I have never noticed that these were not accurate. I think I would have noticed if they were way off.
Hi can you give the name of the one you like? The eBay link is broken. Thanks.I have been using Kill a Watt for years and have two. But, I picked up a different one on Ebay I think is better - and less $$! It handles 20 amps and if disconnected it remembers usage and it needs no batteries. There is also a backlight. Individual settings can be cleared/reset. Slight drawback is that you have to wire a plug into it (little screw terminals), but that is pretty easy.
