Anyone remember the Rockford files?
In case you aren't familiar with the show
The protagonist was an ex-con
eeking out a living as a private eye
in and around Los Angeles
The incidental music is primarily harmonica
If you've seen the show
Its instantly recognizable
Jim had a
tan brown
no frills
pony car
which he drove hard
and put away wet
And he really should have worn a helmet
because he frequently got punched and/or pistol whipped
In the end I expect it was the harmonica
that finally made him snap

I loved that show? Lucky dude had an ocean view front yard for his trailer in a bar parking lot ?
And his dad Rocky was the best. ?

The car was a Pontiac Firebird and until about a month ago the show was on daily on MeTV.

The actor who played Rocky was only 8 years older than James Garner (Rockford).

And don’t forget Angel!

I watched a few episodes a month or so ago. Even though it is in color I watched it on my 1958 Predicta B&W TV. Love that show. The first episode has Lindsay Wagner, always a favorite of mine.

Everyone knew an Angel, back then...some squirrelly dude hopped up on coke, always entertainingly running at the mouth. You kept him around to feel better about yourself. Not that I know anything of the sort.
