So I've got a bunch of EG4 server rack batteries. They're awesome. Work great. My one worry down the line is one of the bms's going out. Signature solar does not sell the bms by itself. I've asked. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how to replace the bms should one of mine die. Other than just finding a 48v 16s 100amp bms, can we find one that is a drop in replacement that uses the same connector the eg4 battery uses?
I have watched a lot of youtube videos and read lots of forum posts over the past few years but nobody that I watch talks about the connectors on the bms. If I needed to buy a new bms how would I connect the new bms to the current cells? Would I have to solder them on or is there a simple plug to unplug from the broken bms and plug into the fancy new bms? What do you all you guys do?
