I bought some EVE MB31 314 Ah (tested at 330 Ah actually) cells to make a 48V LiFePO4 battery. I'm in the middle of top balancing them with a 2800W, 80A max output hobby charger (iCharger 4512DUO), but quickly realized I didn't have a power supply that could supply more than ~150W to the charger (got about 30A from the charger) . I got the bright idea to use a spare off the shelf 12V 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery to power the charger and this gives me the max 80A (~292W) from the charger which is great. To keep energy in the 12V battery I have a little separate 12V charger (only ~200W) on it. The concern now is at this point in the charging session/curve, the 48V battery is fuller and is now down to pulling ~170W from the hobby charger and the now emptier 12V battery is basically staying at 11V as the energy coming in (from the little ~200W 12V battery charger) is the same that's going out (to hobby charger). Is it okay that the 12V 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery will be at 11V for hours, possibly days while the same energy that's going into it is coming right back out??

Whoa!!! I thought my 406DUO was badass... Didn't even know the 4512DUO existed.

I was able to get 70A synchronous (yours does 80A) on single cells, but I have a 85A 12.4V server power supply and a 10kWh FLA bank to use regeneratively.

LFP does not experience significant degradation from operation/storage at low SoC.
