I just pressed the button on 8x LF304 from Nkon.nl, since they’ve dropped their price on preorders even further during the past month since I last checked. Now down to €84.95 per cell on 8 cell quantity with busbars, only a couple of euro more than the LF280k v3.
I went with the bank transfer payment option which gives a further 2% discount, so total price with shipping to sweden was €726.01. Not quite the $56/kWh of the thread title, but a heck of a lot lower than last year’s prices. In fact I very nearly paid this much for 4 year old used cells last year.
“A grade” bought directly from Eve (allegedly!)

Was watching an off grid garage video and looks like new hotness from eve are these, so we should hopefully see further discounts on the "old" generations of 280 v3 and 304.

Right now. You can get 304Ah cells from EVE for $66 or so. Even in the EU you can get them for 81 Euro including VAT from NKON for example.

Prices are dropping BUT SLOWING NOW, fortunately the LFP Chemistry is going strong but some companies that produce other than LFP are starting to have troubles, in large part because more & more EV's are going towards LFP and away from NMC/NCA. Even SK (Korea) is struggling now.
The GOTCHA on Cheaper Cells:
It means B/Bulk cells are also cheaper and that in turn means "Sheisters" will take advantage of that. I believe we are already seeing that with some new "brand labels" with super low prices for pre-builts. Keep in mind that "today" you can buy Low Quantity <100 True A-Grade 100AH cells for $30 USD ea, when buying bulk / qty it's cheaper of course.

For reference, 3 months has passed since I bought Eve LF304k from Nkon and their price has dropped by €1 per cell in that time. It seems to me the price curve which was dropping fast from late last year to early this year has flattened out and the next move is likely to be upwards.
Did you go to the big rock concert this past weekend? Eat any moose lately? Why no sheep in Sweden?

Eve LF304k cells the cheapest I have seen them at NKON now, but they are 2023 dates and threaded studs, not the nice new style v3 terminals which come from Eve these days. Yet the listing claims they are v3 cells direct from Eve 
But… “some cells are a little thicker (up to 73.5mm) ” which sounds dodgy as hell to me. Pre swollen cells with wrong terminals and not from this year, but €2 per cell cheaper than NKON sold me the “real deal” unswollen v3 cells with correct type terminals earlier this year - I’ll pass thanks!
My own opinion is there’s no way those cells are thicker than spec sheet value unless they are used or somehow abused during capacity testing (eg discharged too low). And I don’t believe the “these cells come direct to us from Eve” bit. That maybe applies to the listings for the more expensive cells with the right terminals on.
ETA: so how does this price compare to the $56/kWh in the thread title? Well the LF304K is a 1KWh cell, near as dammit. $82.95 per cell pre shipping cost is $91.73, but that doesn’t tell the full story as it is already landed in EU with taxes paid. I’m going to guess the NKON markup on these cells is at least 20% to cover the risk of warranty claims and shipping damage, plus their staff costs etc and VAT within EU is at least 20% so I reckon the ex-factory cost from Eve must be around the $56/kWh of the thread title, however unlikely it sounded when Will first posted it up.

Battery Clearing House is doing 50% off all LifePo4 through the rest of this month and they have 95% capacity new 50ah prismatic cells for $12, which works out to 6.25 cells per kwh, which works out to $75, or $37.50 before shipping ($250min order).

Yep those, definitely not plug-and-play grade, some sweat required. But! When you need that rock bottom price point and are willing to trade effort to get it, it's always nice to have the option.These?

And it looks like the top plates have been broken off, but if you zoom way in, it does look like a thread swirl in there. Maybe possible to drill the center and ez-out the remains of a broken bolt. I've been wanting to buy a few to check that out, but have my hands full at the moment. They're an intriguing value, imo.
