I have a solar system on my roof since 12/2014 in Cape Coral, Florida. In December 2024 I decided to add a LG battery to my system and was told that a specialist from Sarasota, Nick Gilcrist, could do the work to get everything together. It worked partially with the replacement of the inverter and addition of the transfer switch, but the LG battery was never registered with LG. Nick stopped answering my messages and now I’m on my own. I need help to find a specialist who can register my existing LG Resu 16H Prime battery to my system in my garage.
Now I need an expert in SW Florida who can commission my LG battery with my solaredge system.
thank you.

And who referred your "original specialist" to you?
If that was the battery retailer or someone of any official capacity for LG I would reach back out to them and see what can be done.
I doubt you will find anyone reasonable to "take over" an unfinished / botched job.

I would call whoever gave you Nick’s name. Maybe they know others.

Hello Michael,
I commissioned myself an LG Chem Resu 9,6kWh with a Solaredge inverter. The LG installation manual was well detailed and I had no issue to connect and make the battery work. I guess you have it with your battery or you could find it on the internet.

Of course it depends on how you feel about it about such a technical work but it could be an alternative in case you don't find a specialist.

Hello Tho31,
Thank you for your response. I'm an electrical engineer but already 83 years old . Therefore I don't feel too confident. But I have an idea:
Could you help me over the internet. We could open a Whatsapp channel to talk and I would use my main cell phone to do the installation. I'm in Florida with a 6 hour time difference, but a Saturday or Sunday would work for me and every other day as I'm retired. How much do you want me to pay you for a successful installation?
My email address is michael@emrich.com and my whatsapp number is +1 239 851-5699.
Thank you.

Hi Michael,
sure this looks a smart and funny way to help you out!
Let me share with you the doc I have by email and let's see from there.
