Hello everybody,

I invested in ten 10.24kwh batteries from an Alibaba dot com company. They provided loads of document for MSDS safety reports, custom clearance etc. Non of the documentation if fully matching the product number SGTNPCDJ17001, but it does match the model 200AH 51.2V that is on lots of the CE and other reports. One of the reports mentioned the Cell model 电芯型号: IFP28148115A I checked this before purchasing and thought great Li-FePO4 cells.

Now one of the batteries has a broken cell01 and turns off by itself after a self-check, i can not use the battery as is anymore. I opened it up and I do not see anything that looked like a IFP28148115A cell but there are 64 cells combined to 16 cells in the pack.

How to proceed? Advice? Do I just take it fully apart? It seems that the cells are all joined to one big PCB, with a bus bar....

Can this still be a Li-FePO4 as written on the front of all batteries?

Don't take it apart. Those are pouch cells and you don't want to mess with them.

Cell one is very low and the other at 4v is way to high. I advise caution.

@marionw can help you with that BMS. They look very unbalanced. I don't see compression on the cell either.

I don't want to open up the pouch cells, I want to find the bad one and replace them. Will this be possible?

The BMS starts up and turns the system back off after about a minute or so. Do you think there is a way to re-balance those cells, so it might not be a hardware defect then? There is compression on the whole pack for sure. I been removing parts of it to get access to take a look at the cells.

Everything is possible but is it worth the effort. It may not be too bad. Charge up all the other cells to 3.65V first and then discharge the pack. See how much damage has been done. You may be surprised. A $60 Neey 4A balancer may bring that thing to life.
