Li Time batteries only charging at 10A

I just bought 2 Li Time 12V 100Ah Bluetooth Group24. I also have 2 different chargers (one 20A and one 26A).

I tried all combinations, but they only will charge at 10A. Why won't they go at 20A?

Another question: The 26A charger is a Noco G26000, which can charge Lithium batteries, no mention of LiFePO4. Could this eventually be a problem?

Guessing the BMS is doing its job. What were the voltages of the batteries when you connected your chargers.

It's a problem from the start. The Noco , and similar chargers are for automotive use. Whilst they may charge a LiTime battery , it won't be ideal, and you may encounter issues.
If the Li Time Bluetooth is reporting 10 amps and less than 90% SOC, then it's a limit of the charger and its connections to the battery.
The ideal charger that allows full user setup of charge profile and reports how much charge is going to the battery is the Victron IP 22 smart charger. Connect with quality cables with crimped ring terminations.

I doubt the BMS in this battery has the ability to regulate charging amps. (UNLESS, it is using communications with a compatible charger)

According to the manual the NOCO should be OK with LiFePo4:

10.) 12V Lithium Mode

For charging 12-volt lithium-ion batteries, including lithium iron phosphate. When selected, a blue LED will illuminate. 14.2V | 26A | Up To 500Ah Batteries

Because I stumbled on this thread, I'm testing this out right now. I just got a new little Redodo 12V 50Ah LFP battery. Instead of using my IOTA charger, I hooked up a Noco Genius 10 in 12V Lithium mode to see what's what.

So far it appears to be acting like an LFP charger. It's just pushing max amps (10A) into the battery. I'll monitor it to see what happens as the battery approaches full. My initial sense is that if I had a Noco G26000 I'd expect it to be pushing 26A in, unless Noco dramatically modified behavior from the older models to the newer ones.

Seemed to work fine. Current tapered approaching the charge voltage peak. I saw it hit 14.2V on one of my check-ins, but needed to do something else for a while and missed the completion. When I next checked in it reported charge complete.

I don’t think it’s the Noco charger that’s limiting the charge to 10A. I’m also wondering about high SOC of OP battery.

Sorry for the very late feedback... I bought a 20A charger from LiTime and batteries are charging at 20A. I ran a few more tests with the Noco but it never went to 20A.

(And yes, it is supposed to charge lithium batteries with 26 amps, as stated in the manual...)
