LiFePo Cold Storage Question

I have EG4 48v (V1) server rack battery in an off grid cabin. The manual says -4F is the low for cold storage temp. We are expecting lows near 0F this week, if it were to dip -4F below for a short time what happens to the battery? I don’t really have a way to keep the battery warmer while I’m away, other than bringing it home. Any advice would be appreciated!

-4°F is -20°C, and that's the OPERATIONAL discharge limit of most LFP batteries, i.e., they can discharge down to -20°C.

Personally, I would not be concerned. Google-Fu indicates the electrolyte in LFP batteries will not freeze until they hit -60°C. I'm not saying I'd be okay with THAT, but busting -20°C in storage by several degrees does not seem like a big deal.

Thanks Sunshine!
I can tell you the cold temp charge cutoff works in these batteries, if it’s even close to below freezing, it will not take a charge. I’ve found I have to discharge it for a while and add some warmth to get to accept a charge, even at 32F.
