Hi, i'm still learning all this and i'm building to build my first DIY battery. I'm haven't seen anywhere if there's a proper way to put the banks inside a box. I understand that the old batteries should remain vertical because of acid leaks and all that, but i don't know if it is not a real concern when we talk about Lifepo4. The thing is, i don't know how it's better to make them fit inside a big tool box, depending on how much space i would have if i decide to put inverter inside (power generator style). Any hints on this?
Thanks in advance.

The BEST way is terminal side up.
Then look at the specs for the batteries for their size when depleted [or close to it]. Measure the thickness and make an immovable box that size to prevent expansion.
Charge to only 80%. That is down to 10% and no higher than 90%.
Batteries will last about 6,000 cycles now or about 20 years if you are careful.

You're welcome. :)

You can do terminals up or on it's side with the fat side down.

You can't do it on it's side with the skinny side down.
