LifePower4 Battery off/disconnected this morning

I've been using the hand truck build at my office since I think December. Generally smooth sailing with my office running "off grid" all that time. This morning I came into some of my computers turned off... but everything else was running, so I was thinking some kind of failed software update or fluke thing because an IT friend had some similar issues at his organization (coincidence as I'll later discover).

But then I'm going to warm up my coffee with the microwave and I didn't hear the inverter fan kick in so I'm like oh that's weird. And I look down to see that the battery is turned off, well all the leds are off while the switches/breaker were still on. I flipped the red switch off then back on and we're charging now.

My dipswitches and stuff are all configured based on guidance from Signature Solar.

I checked the SmartESS app and saw an alarm but it's just battery disconnected, nothing else.

Any idea why it turned off on me? When I look at the chart in the app, the battery turned off yesterday before 4pm.

It shows a battery shutdown at 3PM. It looks like the battery did not have enough power and BMS shut the battery down for a cell undervoltage.
At that point the grid took over, but there was a brief electricity disruption that some computers did not handle well.

If you have a SMART battery, check the details.

To restart the battery you need to remove the load first, but leave the charging on. Then use an additional voltage to the battery in parallel, e.g. a stupid battery charger for a short moment, glasses for a spark protection and a resistor in series.

I don't understand why our EG4 3000EHV didn't start charging like it has every day for the past 9 months.

I have my charging set to "solar only", but I watch the battery carefully the whole day.
If I have a few days without sun I switch some loads to the grid.

If you want to use the system as UPS, allow Solar and Utility charging together. It would be "solar first" (CSO) mode.

I just noticed on my EAsun inverter that allowing both did not immediately start charging from the grid when solar was still active.
So I think it waits for solar to stop and after some time (?) starts charging from the grid until the battery is full. You can set the charging current from the grid separately. I did not test this mode yet because I want to maximize solar and save money.
