Not putting this baby out anytime soon. Apparently too dumb to learn from history as they also had fires in2021 & 2022. Not related to the wildfires burning now in Southern Cal.
Makes you wonder if it wasn't deliberately set.
"Local media outlet The Mercury News noted that fires at the Vistra plant, which Vistra Energy owns, and one of the largest battery storage facilities in the world boasting a capacity of 750 megawatts and 3,000 megawatt-hours, experienced fires in 2021 and 2022."

Apparently it's not related to the Tesla 256 unit megapack installation that's also on the site.

Media loves lying.
Especially when they've decided they have a target. They don't like Musk right now so they'll gladly pile the lies on. Later after the big misleading headline a few days later they'll put a tiny print "oops sorry" note retracting their statement, but the damage they wanted is already done.

The Zerohedge link only mentions the Moss Landing Power Plant not Tesla.Tesla Battery fire @ Moss Landing is fake news.
It's some potato LG/Fluence design, the modules are inside a building unlike the Tesla megapack thats outdoors so once one unit goes up in flames that whole building is going to be an inferno......

They had two false activations of a water suppression system that actually involves flexible hoses directly into the battery modules. Lost 7% of modules in phase 1 (300MWh) due to leaks when the system was charged, faulty programming logic when system saw smoke from a failed bearing on a fan....then they had a similar leak situation in phase 2 a 100MWh facility.

Daily Kos isn't a news site.
What is a "news site"? I'm guessing it is some sort of mythical website that provides factual and objective description of events.

All I can find is bias reinforcing click bait which seem more interested in enraging you emotionally than informing you intellectually.

"News" is a commercial product produced to addict your eyeballs so they can pump ads into your brain.

3,000 Mwatt-hrs = 585,937.5 EG4 LL battery packs. (if my math is good) WOW
The building thats on fire is apparently the phase 1 facility which has 300 MWh of LG batteries in it.

The "fires" in 2021 and 2022 were related to the water based fire supression system leaking and causing some arcing and melting. Not a true cell fire like this bonfire may turn out to be.

There was a fire within the 256 unit Tesla megapack installation back in September 2022, but the fire was limited to one pack, as they are designed to burn in place without affecting neighboring units in a worst case scenario.
