I have a family member in Massachusetts, they are not DIY savvy, looking for an installer to setup 10kw solar + 15-30kw battery, grid tied. This is less than an hour from the old AltEstore, so it is odd I cant find anyone floating around there... The typical local gangs are all pushing enphase junk.

I used PV-Squared (Pioneer Valley PhotoVoltaic) and have been pleased with their work and ongoing support, though they're probably not the cheapest. A worker-owned cooperative located in Greenfield, they've been in the business for quite a few years now. I've heard reasonable things about Valley Solar, but have no direct experience.

What inverter did they sell you?

It was installed 9 years ago, when there weren't that many decent choices, so it's a Solar Edge (actually, two of them). My system is 42 panels mounted on my barn and what impressed me was that the project foreman didn't think the first few panels looked right because my 150 year old barn roof (with standing seams) isn't square. He had them pull the panels and the racking to re-do it so it would seem as square as possible. It looks pretty damned good.

I’m just South of your family (RI) and am currently working with a smaller solar team and have had a great experience so far. PM me if you’d like the name of the company. Also have other coworkers that used another company with great reputation.
