looking to buy used solar panels, need thoughts.

checked on shipping for one pallet of panels from SanTan to 63841. It's $300. Ouch!
You want 12?

Buy 24 or maybe 36. Shipping will be not cost much more I’d guess…
Then sell the 12 for $75 each or a dozen for $800. Cost problem solved?

This.

the shipping is the same up to 25 panels as it is one. Also, panels like to be matched so if you are going to future add some capacity, buy them all at once. A panel and a cheap down voltage regulator is a great combo to sell off for electric gates and animal water pumps and heaters. buy a pallet, sell off what you don’t need. Win. Also. Do ask for the nicer grade from santan, they have Multiple grades and some already have water intrusion and corrosion, some are real clean.

thsee will not be able to be grid tied though as others have said.

That was the plan; buy a pallet of 20+. That gets the cost per panel reasonable. I've been pondering reselling the panels but out here in the middle of cornfield county USA, I'm not sure if there is any demand for that sort of thing.
Alternate plan is to buy a bit more expensive panel (pallet of course) with labels which could eventually be grid tied.
